External Fixator Systems Ilizarov Type

For nearly sixty (60) years the external fixation ILIZAROV type has given excellent post- operative results in meeting complicated osteosynthesis cases. It is a “minimally invasive” technique.

 Advantages of the method:

• Provides greater stability compared to classic osteosynthesis
• Almost immediate weight bearing
• Reduced operative time
• Able to cover cases that classic osteosynthesis cannot meet (i.e.elongation ).
